The Key West Project consists of a 10.0 million gallon per day extended aeration
biological nutrient removal wastewater treatment plant,
twenty-four sewage lift stations, and
fifty-seven miles of sewage collection lines. The treatment plant is operated and
maintained by state certified operators twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
The sanitary sewer collection system and stormwater drainage system is
maintained by state certified collection system and stormwater system
operators. Years of practical experience and formal training makes the
OMI Key West staff one of the best in the wastewater business, and no doubt
the best in Monroe County, Florida.
